カナダ、バンクーバー在住。日本におけるインターネットの普及初期以来、メディアデザイン・プランニングの先駆者として活躍し、日本の主要企業向けマルチメディアプロジェクトの数々を推進。また日本のミュージシャンやアーティストたちに向けた多言語対応ＰＲコンテンツ製作にも力を注ぐ。手がけた作品の多くがヤフー（Yahoo.com）の「今日のサイト」コーナーやブリタニカ（Britannica.com）およびマクロメディア （Macromedia.com）で紹介されており、中にはカンヌ国際映画祭批評家週間「ベスト・ウェブ・フィルム」部門を受賞した作品もある。公的資格で は日本語検定１級取得。

日本では何度もウェブデザインのレクチャーを行っており、アップルストア銀座店オープンの際には依頼を受け、２００３年１２月２８日に講演を担当。

Presently based in Vancouver, Canada, Jade Carter has been at the leading edge of new media design and planning since the early days of the Internet, heading up numerous multimedia projects for major corporations, non-profits, and other organizations of all sizes. Creator of a number of web sites that have been chosen as Site of the Day at Yahoo.com, Britannica.com, and Macromedia.com, as well as winner of Best Web Film award at the Cannes Film Festival International Critics’ Week, Jade is the founder and driving force of Resourcecode Media Inc.

Jade has given lectures on Web design in Japan and Canada on numerous occasions, including a presentation during the opening week of the Apple Store in Ginza, Tokyo, in December 2003.
